Greatest time saving gadget. September 1, 2008 This little gadget has saved me so much time & hassle since repainting the kid's rooms. With the constant wall banging & moving of shelves & pictures, Paint Buddy is the easiest way to touch up paint when repairing plastered holes and damage. No more rummaging through piles of caked over paint cans, stirring, brushes & cleanup. I just shake the bottle, pop off the top, flip to open, roll over area. Clean-up is sooo easy- just flip tab to close, and rinse the roller clean. You can pop the top off & change the roller, but I have never needed to. I have not had a leak or any dried paint with 4 bottles over the 3 years that I have used the product. Just bought 3 more for my bedroom & den make-over.
Homeowner July 31, 2008 it leaks and all the paint does not come off and gets clogged up even when you wash it
Best Idea Ever for Paint Touch Ups June 15, 2008 I purchased several of these Paint Buddies to use for saving the paint used in my new sewing room. I did a striped pattern using painters tape and made a few mistakes in the process. This product made the corrections so easy. The rollers have a non-stick coating, which made cleanup extremely easy after completing my touchups. I am storing each one of the four colors I used in a Rubbermaid Paint Buddy, just in case the need for the paint ever arises. This is so much more convenient than keeping the cans and having to pull out brushes and other painting supplies, when only a small spot needs a little paint. There is even a place to record which room and the color name on the top. I would highly recommend this product if you ever do any indoor painting.Rubbermaid 57930 Paint Buddy
Love the Paintbuddy March 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The paintbuddy is great for little scuffs and marks on the wall! I have not had any problems with leaking as some of the other reviewers reported. I have had one for almost two years and use it once every 3-4 months and I feel like it works better than brush touch ups---I can see the brush strokes. The paintbuddy is a roller and it seems like it blends in better (I always use a roller when I initially paint a room). When you are done using the paint buddy, it is easy to clean up the roller and parts to store it for the next use. I want one for every room, but the paint buddy is just too pricey for that. I decided to just get one for the main rooms of the house where we tend to need the most touch ups.
Great little touch-up tool November 1, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used this for the first time and discovered how much easier it was to use than the traditional manner of "brush and paint can" for small touch-ups. It worked great on small areas, but would not be suitable for "long-over due" touch-ups where walls are badly scuffed. For the little mark here and there, it worked wonders! Watch out for the occassional excess paint coming out the dispenser hole. Also, over carpet (or other stainable items) it would be good to have a drip catcher underneath. After all, you are PAINTING and paint will drip no matter what you use! I plan to purchase one for every color of paint in my house! Used properly and with care, this should be the means to end scuffs on your walls!
