great dremel July 16, 2010 Jason Chapman I am very pleased with the product I purchased. It was shipped quickly and was in perfect shape. I will purchase products from amazon in the future and am pleased with the service
Got this at Home Depot July 15, 2010 T. D. Ryther (Texas) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this tool at the full price at Home Depot. I'm not sure if it's the exact same model, but I assume it is.
It's an interesting tool, but like some reviewer said it is very light duty. I have never used this type of tool before so I didn't know what to expect. I cut some molding with it, and it took longer than I thought it would. Perhaps the wood was too hard. Not sure if it was pine or not.
The big rounded cutting blade was very slow, so I switched to the very small flat faced wood cutting blade. It cut a lot faster, and I got the job done. I will have to try it on a different job.
Our contractor used a Fein tool like this on our new deck, to cut some small spots that would have had to be measured and cut with a jigsaw. I watched him use it and it looked very easy. I wish I could afford a Fein, as it seems to be a heavy duty tool. I like Dremel tools though. I have a couple of their rotary tools, one that plugs in and one that is cordless. They are fun to use.
I want to try that Bosch cordless tool, next time I feel like spending a chunk of money. It looks more heavy duty than this one, that is I hope it cuts faster, and you don't need a cord. That tool is almost double the cost of this one but if it works faster it might be worth it.
The Fein looks very good, but I don't feel like dropping 4 or 500 dollars for one with accessories. For that much money I would rather buy a good chain saw, something the pros would use.
I like the sanding attachment on this tool. I am going to try it on an old chair I am going to refinish. It should be the right tool for the job. I need to get into small places where a bigger sander won't go. I will have to do some hand sanding too.
Poor design July 14, 2010 ken jewell (PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY, US) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I used this Dremel for about 10 minutes
before I gave up on it, The screw that holds the blade in place
comes loose while trying to cut,Don't waste your time
Dremel Multi-max Tool July 12, 2010 thomas grieco One of the best tools for any handy man or contractor. Allows you to cut with perfection in all the hard to get at places. I have performed jobs to perfection where it would have taken longer to accomplish. Highly recommend.
Dremel Multi Max July 10, 2010 George The product appears in new condition although it is reconditioned. I tried it out on a scrap piece of wood and it preformed as the video demonstrated . I do wish the product info at the Amazon web site had told which blades came in the case. I then could have ordered optional blades for working with different materials at that time. I'll probably just go to a local home improvement store and purchase them.
